The Australian National University is hosting a series of Poetry Slam events for ACT Secondary Public School students. There will be three mini-slams in various libraries around Canberra and a final event held at ANU on 23 August 2012.
This event is to be held at Erindale Library.

The idea of the Voice Poetry Slam is to give students an opportunity to explore a new art form, to be creative and to voice their ideas in a welcoming non-judgmental environment. Fundamental to the idea of poetry slams is recognition that everyone has different things to say, and different ways of saying them. Poetry Slam is about encouraging that diversity, and celebrating our differences through a common medium.

This poetry slam is open to all ACT Public School and ANU students.
