Krum (fka Playdough) and producer Rob Viktum put this album together. It happened organically while Krum was working on his own next album, through good chemisty between the two artists. Beats made entirely from gospel records and rhymes that capture the same pain and hope originally belted out on those old hymns.
“I wanted to keep the vibe of old Gospel music throughout the album. Rob used classic Gospel samples on every track so the music was there, but I wanted the lyrics to keep the same emotion of the Gospel songs he sampled. I love how similar Gospel music is to blues. While all the songs are talking about the challenges and sometimes despair of life, there’s always a hope that we’re going to be ok. Through every struggle, we can always focus on the light at the end of the tunnel. That’s good news“, Krum said.
The album features Jabee and Denmark Vessey.
It's a free download on the label Krum is newly signed to, FWMJ's Rappers I Know.
