Los Chavos are next up in the Transit Bar's "Resident Program" - choosing an eclectic posse of beat makers and rhyme flavas with MC's BRB, TRENDOID & ALPHABET and rare live performance by COOLIO DESGRACIAS, cooled off by some choice cuts with DJ PAISA and some live percussionsts.

LOS CHAVOS
Los Chavos channel the festival sounds and urban rhythms of Latin America to sway hips from Canberra to Colombia. Fronted by Andy Jauregui, from Cochabamba, Bolivia, and backed by seasoned musicians from Australia and South America. Los Chavos have been moving crowds for over 6 years in Canberra and the festival circuit.
Honing their craft with the sweaty crowds at the National Multicultural Festival, Floriade and many other smaller clubs and venues, the band released their debut EP in 2008, a tight testament to their live sound and their unique vision.
Los Chavos just released their debut album SUPERMENG, a significant development and evolution of their live performances. The album showcases signature energy coupled with complex arrangements and a large variety of rhythms - but never straying too far from their ska/reggae roots. Romantic ballads are given a ska/cumbia twist and hard-hitting merengue horns are mixed with calypso-hiphop.
Fresh from their album launch weekend "Day of The Dead" Festival" and Corinbank, LOS CHAVOS will be in full effect for the last time in 2012. SUPERMENG will be available to buy on the night along with limited edition T-Shirts.

DJ PAISA
Born an raised in Colombia, DJ PAISA brings a wealth of musical knowledge spanning salsa, reggaeton, and cumbia all the way to funk, hiphop, dancehall and beyond. Always albe to ready the crowd and keep them moving, DJ PAISA will be joined by live percussionists for this performance.
COOLIO DESGRACIAS
Not many can say they arrived into this world fully mack-dad-a-tized, but that is exactly the type of record company bozack major labels be feedin' people about they artists.
Coolio on the other hand spent countless hours shootin' hoops, poppin' and lockin' on cardboard danceflos', relacing his air jordans and listenin' to Rock It, MIdnight Star and the Beatstreet soundtrack.
Coolio seeks to bring the hip hop to any style he inhabits. Whatever he does will always be that pimp shit, that freshly baked schwarzwald kirsch kuchen shit.
Fresh off releasing his latest album "MY PRIVATE JET" Coolio will be doing a rare live performance in the flesh, dropping selected cuts from the album.

BRB
Originally from the US with South American heritage and is now based in Canberra, BRB combines U.S. east coast flow, with west coast flair, in a laid back Aussie style. A gifted lyricist & dynamic freestyler BRB consistently delivers entertaining & moving songs.
BRB worked with well-known Aussie Hip Hop crew 'Metaphysical Combat' for over 4 years, and for the past 10 years has acquired a following in the Canberra region. He has gleaned significant experience in the Australian hip hop scene as an emcee, composer, DJ, producer, and also regularly teaching R.A.R.E. hip hop workshops.
Music has always been a major part of BRB's life. He took an interest in DJ-ing and reciting rhymes at a young age, and over the past decade has evolved into a well-established and respected musician with great depth. He is a talented artist and witty emcee. Multi-lingual, versatile and confident, BRB is a born performer.
Spontaneity is a great strength which he brings to recordings, performances and battles. He is a superb free-stylist, and will often shock the crowd by incorporating his immediate surroundings into raps; he certainly adds life to any show. From small gatherings to large festivals BRB is a seasoned performer and will not disappoint.
