26 Jun 2013 | New Releases

There's some really good new releases in the second quarter of 2013.  We think these are the most worth mentioning...

Andy Mineo "Heroes for Sale"

Formally known as "C-Lite", this album is the follow-up to last year's free mixtape.  Andy Mineo is being hailed as the highest progressing Christian Hip Hop artist out now.  Expect to hear him rapping and singing on this.  Stand out tracks are "Ayo!", "The Saints", and "Caught Dreaming".  The album features Swoope, Christon Gray, For King & Country, and the Reach Records artist roster.

Heath McNease "The Weight of Glory: Second Edition"

Hip-hop remix of Heath's folk album of CS Lewis inspired songs.  Most of the tracks are actually an improvement over the originals.  Something both hip-hop, folk and CS Lewis fans will like.  Both versions are available free from Noisetrade.com

Shad + Scratch Bastid "The Spring Up EP"

Classic hip-hop sounds brought by Scratch Bastid, lyricism by Canadian emcee Shad.  Features a dope track called "Classic" co-produced by the one and only DJ Jazzy Jeff.  Download the EP for free!

Shai Linne "Lyrical Theology Part 1: Theology"

Lampmode Recording artists are know well for their theologicaly intense lyricism.  Shai Linne goes into topics such as election, the millenium, holy spirit, regeneration, the hyperstatic union... and even calls out modern day false preachers.  It's like having a deep and meaningful over classic style beats.

The Collective (self titled album)

The group is Shai Linne, Timothy Brindle, Stephen the Levite and Zae da Blacksmith.  Our favourite track is "4 My Ninjas" which pays respect to the behind the scenes people for which we couldn't do without.

Lavoisier "Do This Everyday"

This free single features Bizzle.   Encouragement that your life is a continual improvement.  God helps his people through it all day by day.

The Runaway "Saturday Sonrise EP"
